Question about Fuji FinePix S3 Pro Digital Camera
SOURCE: Err CF
Observe the connector inside camera, using a flashlight. If there is a bent pin take the camera to service immediately. Don't turn it on any more as we did in one similar case - creating a short circuit that damaged the camera electronics and voided the warranty.
If no visible problems, remove battery and leave it out overnight.

Have you tried using a different memory card or formatting the memory card? My S1 was acting weird until I formatted the memory card using my computer.

SOURCE: Err message
This problem is caused by the plastic memory card door.
There is a door that hides the memory card on the back of the camera.
The door has a small plastic part on the left side that when the door is closed fits inside the camera.
When the door is open this part is exposed. It is right next to the "^" in "^ PUSH TO EJECT"
If you place one drop of superglue on the top of this little plastic part of the door(when open) and let it dry overnight(LEAVING THE DOOR OPEN OVERNIGHT.)
This will slightly build the plastic up about .05-1mm.
The problem is caused by the plastic part being about 1mm too small, liking resulting from normal wear.
I have tested this, and it seems to have resolved my issue with the S1 Pro I bought on e-bay

SOURCE: Display panel shows "Err"
it sounds like maybe the pins in the back of the memory car port may have gotten damaged when you did not get it in straight, I don't know of anyplace in your area to have the camera serviced, but I think it will be a costly repair.

If "Err" is displayed on the LCD panel on the top
of the camera when the "MENU/EXE" button on the FinePix S1 Pro is
pressed, check the following:
<If "Err" is not flashing>
1. If the slot cover is open, switch the camera off, close
the slot cover and switch the camera back on.
2. If the remaining charge in the AA-size batteries is low,
switch the camera off, replace the batteries and switch the camera back on.
3. If steps 1 and 2 above do not remedy the problem, contact
the store where you purchased the camera or your nearest authorized FUJIFILM
repair center.
<If "Err" is flashing>
1. Pictures cannot be taken because the remaining charge in
the lithium batteries is too low or because the camera mechanism has stopped
operating due to the camera being used in cold conditions.
In this event, switch the camera off, replace the batteries
and then switch the camera back on. If replacing the batteries does not resolve
the problem, set the focusing mode to "M" and release the shutter
before switching the camera off briefly.
2. If step 1 above does not resolve the problem, contact the
store where you purchased the camera or your nearest authorized FUJIFILM
dealer.
