At the very corner of the right front of this laptop, you will see a tiny icon in blue and silver. Push it in once, and to its right, there will be a blue and silver icon light up. the button might be sticking from use, with a small flathead screw driver carefully pry off the silver part above the button area close to the charging port, you will see 2 tiny screws, next carefully with a tiny flat head screw driver, remove the cap over the bluelight area (the one with the symbol "M") and there is another tiny screw there. open it carefully and once open inspect closely the area that holds the button assembly and see if the contact point is either ripped or dirty or if the rubber is just not flexing anymore....
A mirror got loose in the opening from where the bulb sends the light to the "panel" It is blocking part of the light.
I'm not talking about one of the tiny mirrors that makes up the DLP, but there is silver box where the bulb light initially goes. the walls are lined with mirrors whose adhesive fails when exposed to great heat.
I can easily fix it, as i have fixed many of them from this problem.
