Hi,
It could be a ceramic fuse that is usually located inside the microwave, you need to remove the cabinet. You will see it place there on top (usually) or it could be under a cover there. Be sure to replace this with a like fuse, nothing too small or too large. You should also be sure to use a ceramic fuse, as a glass fuse will burn out much quicker and you'll be in the same spot.
Hope this helps,
Joe

Kenmore Model 721.66222500 just suddenly stopped working. No light, no power, no nothing.

I just had same problem happen on a Kenmore Model 721.89940490. I took off top panel and control panel. Behind control panel is a ceramic fuse. I pullud it out and checked with my mutimeter for continunity and it is blown. Since it is 20 years old I will get a new fuse and replace it. If it works good, if not I will have to go buy a new one to put under the cabinet. My contractor that built my house in 1994 directed wired it but I\'ll spend a little extra and put a plug in the cabinet, if I have to replace it. I suspect I won\'t but there is still that possibility.

3 year old OTR microwave left on with nothing in it. now shows no power, board, lights or fan. what do I check first?

You have to open it up and see if you can find the power fuse, usually a BUSS 15amp Slo Blo that protects the Microwave Tube from drawing too much current and causing a fire. These fuses degrade over time or some get through that are not quite 15 amps and blow.

I have a Kenmore Microwave Oven - Elite Series - only about 3 years old, keeps blowing fuses - any advice on what might be the problem? I think the first fuse blew during a power outage, not sure if that...

make sure you have the oven plugged into a designated outlet...what I mean by that is...the outlet your plugging your oven into must be wired right to the fuse box by itself...because the oven will take most of the power from that one fuse for itself...also make sure the fuse is rated for what the oven needs....on the back of the oven, it will tell you how much current it takes...(???Amps), if it says 12 amps for example...the fuse should be 15 amps...if its lower that 12...it will keep blowing....if all of what I said check out then your oven has developed a short circuit...most likely the high voltage diode or magnetron....have it serviced....

Kenmore Microhood not working

I think it may be an internal fuse or a fusible link. You also have a series of contacts and switches inside that are set in place by the mfr. for safety. You could get it repaired for 50-75 dollars or a new one for 125-150 dollars. If you have checked the internal fuse, then just get a new one if the other one is older than 3-4 years.

Kenmore Microwave 63252

Microwaves use a special ceramic fuse that has probably been popped by the outage. You have to take the cover off and it looks just like the regular cylindrical glass fuse except this one is white instead of clear. I think radio shack has them. Hopefully the fuse stopped the power surge before it got the front panel controls.
