Hi,
If you are blowing fuses and GFCI's your compressor is either not starting at all, is starting hard, or is at least grounding out momentarily...
at any rate the compressor is failing, and that is not economically replaceable..

If you are having a ground fault issue with the unit replacement may be the best viable option. If you have the proper ohmmeter and a good understanding of how to visually inspect the unit you can try to find the neutral short to ground. If it is blowing fuses and tripping GFIs but not breakers the problem should be easy to locate for a trained eye, but a professional repair is likely to cost more than or comparable to simply replacing the unit.
Hello friend, thank you for your post!
A dehumidifier is similar to having another refrigerator plugged in. It is recommended that it be plugged into a circuit of its own. If you are talking about the house fuse or circuit breaker it could be the circuit has to many products plug into the that house circuit. I would suggest moving it to another area of the house to see if it also blows that fuse. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt
