1.Press the "Menu/OK" button on the back of the camera.

2.Highlight "Set" on the LCD display by tapping the "Right" arrow button.

3.Select "Set-Up" using the "Down" arrow button. Press "Menu/OK."

4.Select option "5" by tapping the "Right" arrow button. Press the "Down" arrow button.

5.Select "Reset" by tapping the "Down" button. Press the "Right" arrow button. A confirmation message appears.

6.Press "Menu/OK." The camera resets itself to factory defaults

How do you reset the time and date on the finepix jz500 digital camera?
Press MENU/OK to bring up the menu. Press cursor-left to highlight a tab, then use cursor-up/down to select the setup menu (wrench and "SET"). Press cursor-right to enter the menu, then use cursor-up/down to select "DATE/TIME", then press cursor-right. Use cursor-left/right to move between fields, cursor-up/down to change their values. Press MENU/OK when done.

Hello!!!

Try hard resetting once!!! Switch off ur camera , remove the batteries and press the power button for few seconds. then put the batteries back and try powering on!!
