If ice is on the door and ceiling and frozen water dropleats on the food packages the door was left open and the air ducts are frozen.when you open the freezer door do you hear the fan blowing,if not it could be bad or iced up,if the ice is on the inside back wall of the freezer you have a defrost problem, get back to me and tell me if the ice or like snow is just on the back wall or if the door was left open ice will be on ceiling ,door and shelves and food packages, also that's not a good model number if the freezer is on top look at the left wall up near the ceiling in the fridge section, you should see a tag there with the model number.

I am trying to install a new heat motor on a frigidaire refrigerator model frs26zrg. I am having frost build up on front side of ice maker, assuming its from flapper not closing all the way.

I assume your frost is at the front of the ice bin? If so, your correct. Room temperature air is leaking in to a 0 degree environment and causing frost build up. First, I would see if the ice door closes 100% without spring by pressing your finger on the door. I've had bad ice doors that were warped. Next, inspect supporting rod and spring and make sure they look ok. An eye test should suffice. Next, without heat motor, the spring should keep door shut 100%. See if that helps, good luck!

I have a Kenmore refrigerator side-by-side with water/ice in door. Model number 363.9534783 serial number L431 12755. It is now intermitantly leaking water on the floor. A couple of days could go by with...

1. A door open partially will cause a frost build-up then thaw and run down to the floor. Check all doors for proper closure and educate other users.
2. An issue with an unhappy animal is quite common
3. Door switch intermittently causing a light to stay on ora fan to not run
4 Ice build up around ice door chute .
5. Water dripping into ice tray and overflowing. Replace water valve.

Buzzing sound

If noise stops when you open the door, you may have a noisy fan (or could have ice build up, causing fan blade to hit ice and cause noise). I gather it is a frost-free model ie has a fan in the freezer compartment. If noise is caused by fan hitting ice build up, you may have a problem with the auto defrost system, as you should not get ice build up in a frost free.
Noise stops when you open door because fan turns off when door is opened.

Ice is building up on back wall of a frost free refrigerator

Your defrost system must be on the blink. The defrost system is used to keep slabs of ice from forming and disrupting flow of air to that fresh food compartment. In the old days grandma would just unplug the unit every 2 weeks and place a chair in front of the the ice box, holding the door open for an afternoon to kill the frost buildup. Then came the modern frost free icebox. Every 8 hours the timer would kill the compressor and kick in a heater to melt that old frost. A bi-metal thermostat was installed in line with the heater to shut it down at 50 degreesF, then the ice box would just keep quite and set a spell (21 mins) then like magic the ice box would roar back to life, get cold, and chill out. That is until you opened the ice box door and violated grannys 3 second rule and caused the compressor to come roaring on and scare the cat half to death. Nowadays instead of timers(we don't need no stinking $2 timers) we built in computer boards with fancy sensors to monitor capacitance changes in the evaporator coils and issue orders from main computer board to defrost board to commence defrost cycle all the time monitoring for any changes in our daily habits, taking in consideration of how many times we peek into the ice box and look at grandmas strawberry shortcake. Keeping up with each and every ice cube we consume and checking the temperature and quality of our water and ice in the door. OH my! So what could go wrong? Well barring hurricanes, tornatoes, thunderstorms, earthquakes, and other natural disasters, all ice boxs still need a heater and a thermostat. I would start there. Of course if you had have specified a particular model number and brand so that a date age and a few components could have been looked at then I could have posibly given a more specific answer.

Ice build-up on the inside top of of freezer door

This is a problem that the factory has released a bulletin on.They have released new hinges, and insulation for inside the door. So far I've only seen the bulletin for Kenmore upright freezers made by Frigidaire. Since it is a Kenmore the bulletin is a Sears Service Flash but the units are identical. For sears its SF46-517. They may extend the service to Frigidaire units but you'll have to contact Frigidaire about that.
