Because these are most likely made in China (look at the label on the machine to see), they are "when it breaks, throw it away".
My only success has been to type the name of the company into the computer, and then call the phone number, and ask the company. Occasionally I can order a new one, usually my effort has failed.
We use these at my house, and I have had the same problem several times.

Check where model # is located for name of company. Then check online with that company. If u have a Kitchen/Cooking shop near by u may be able to order thru them.
This happened to me, and I was told by the company that I had to purchase a brand new base, that the plastic turning device can not be repaired. If it is under warranty, you may not have to pay anything but shipping, and maybe not that either. If you do not have the number to the company, go on-line and and search for it. Call the company and report what the problem is.
