Remove the top cover to your engine, along with any attachments. Your cord is in the top of this cover. You will be able to see where the problem is when you pull the cord.If you find that the cord has tangled somehow, you will need to untangle the cord. Be careful not to damage the cor in the untangling process. GOOD LUCK.

Iliso iron will not retract

When cords won't retract, it's usually because they were pulled out too far, ie: past the red line on the cord.
Retractable cords have a limit to how far they can be pulled out in order for the spring to be able to "rewind" them back.
On products with retractable cords, they have a red line near the base of the cord to warn you to stop.

I tried pull the cord stuck took it apart spring ok.the shaft from engine stuck,

Sounds like you have a bearing failure, eithe big end or crank shaft bearing. When they go they quite often knacker the piston and cylinder too as it can put them off square. Remove cylinder and the problem will be easy to locate as you can see the big/small end bearings and check for cylinder damage. Often the cost of repair far outweighs the value of the equipment.

Toro pull cord won't rewind

You have to open up the starter and reattach the spring that works with the pull cord. A royal PIA.

I have a Poulan PRO LINK PP 335 and the pull rope is only coming out about 8 inches. It's stuck...what should I do?

Remove the starter and pull the cord, if the cord still only comes out so far it is either the cord is too short ( replace the cord ) or the rewind spring is coil bound ( release some of the tention )

Cord getting stuck, won't come fully out.

Hi Karen. Chances are your cord has a kink in it which is preventing it from coming all the way out. Pull the cord out almost as far as it will come and then twist the cord one way or the other and pull to get the kink out of it. Once you have it all the way out you can start closest to the machine and smooth out the entire cord to be sure that the kinks are more or less permanently gone.

Pull-cord will not retract.

If you put a longer cord on it , then it will not retract as far and get stuck.
