I have the 60 inch mitsubishi dlp. There was a sound just like a light bulb going out. Then there was no picture or sound. I replaced the lamp and still no picture or sound. I hear clicks when trying to reset and a constant yellow blinking light with a quick green light then back when I hold reset. Maybe the ballest????

If the status led is blinking yellow its indicating that the filter cover on the side is open. If its the lamp indicator thats blinking yellow its indicating the lamp door cover isnt attached properly.

Hear a pop like a firecracker and then no picture

It is likely that the bulb has failed. The bulb can be removed as an assembly from the rear of the unit. Carefully inspect the lamp and confirm that the glass bulb has failed. the pop could be the bulb fracturing. Careful for broken glass. Suggest that you buy a direct manufacturing equivalent. I have found they are the brightest.

60 inch mitsubishi comes on no picture only sound and then it will turn off by its self

Most mornons seem to think that your TV is a traditional crt projection when in fact it is a DLP projection set and does not have convergence chips or CRTs. Instead, your set has a DMD chip and a projector lamp that passes light through the light engine where a color wheel is and the DMD chip itself. Often times DLP TVs cycle on and off again when the lamp is starting to go out. Mitsubishi is well known for this. However, it can also be a symptom of the color wheel going bad as well or simply updating the software by downloading it from http://support.mitsubishi-tv.com/
Good luck and rate me when you can.
