When making copies, copies come out as if the paper was slid down the page. I asked you guys a month ago and was told the registration clutch needed replacing. Any idea how much this costs and where there is a dealer or repair person in our area. Our area Fisherville On Canada N0A 1G0

I just did mine 2 days ago. There is a allen wrench spot on the back of the slave unit in the front of ******. You need one person with a good leg to get in truck and start pumping clutch one person under truck with allen wrench to loosen and tighten screw. Guy inside needs to pump maybe like thirty times up and down before it pays to open bleeder on slave unit. The guy inside needs to hold down clutch while the guy opens watches then closes bleeder. then guy from inside needs to go under hood to make sure the resevour still has enough fluid. It takes brake fluid in resevour. You don't want the resevour to run low on fluid or you will have to start all over. I had a small leak in the line leading to slave cylinder were I lost fluid and that's how I got air in system make sure you don't have any leaks. Good luck I know it works I have more clutch know then a year ago when I had the slave unit changed.
Make sure that after you add paper, that you tell the printer the right size paper. Chances are you accidently changed the paper size and the printer is letting you know that the "wrong" paper is in the tray. If you are using standard printer paper, be sure to change the paper settings back to "Letter"
OK it seems to be a problem with pick up clutch and vertical feed rollers ( When you open the left door and hinge in level of cass you will see axis with the tree little rollers- clean it with alcohol or water).Pick up clutch is better to replace it FK2-1068 (europe code).
What tray are you making copies out of? Does it happen ( the off setting) from every tray and the bypass tray ( if you have one)? If the copies are offset from only one tray, check the paper guide alignment for the tray ( paper side and end guides in the tray). Check to make sure that the machine see the proper paper size. If you are having the offset problem from all the trays then you are looking at a registration problem and woould need to replace the reg> clutch/ motor.
I guess by your fault description that there is a blank gap before the printing starts? The only way to cure this problem is to replace the registration clutch as it is turning on too late and not releasing the paper quick enough. Also check that the paper tray dial is displaying the correct paper size and position.
That problem is the registration clutch.
You have to order the registration assembly to get the clutch. It is located on assembly with the black and stainless steel roller, you have to pop out the imaging unit to see it.
But that WILL fix your problem. They changed the style of clutch also. It is more reliable now.
sounds like the registration clutch is sticking, unplug machine. the reg. clutch is located in the middle of the machine, under the drum unit, it should have about 4 little gray rollers on it, @ the rear of the shaft in the back part of the machine you will see the reg. clutch. take a little bit of alcohol and pour it over the clutch and move the roller to get the toner/dirt out of the clutch. let the alcohol dry. try machine.
