My Jura Capresso F9 keeps making coffee when no one is pushing the buttons. It is always a big cup, mild. Any ideas what could cause this, other than a ghost who likes weak coffee, as my 5-year-old suggests? Nothing works to stop it except turning the machine off.

Apparently after a few yrs of use the steam wafting up from a cup of coffee works its way into the electronics touch screen mechanism causing it to turn on by itself...since moisture is such a good conductor for electricity it seems like there is a "ghost in the machine"...credit "The Police" band for that quote...my simple solution was a 6-7 dollar desk fan purchased from Walmart and point it up across the front of the unit...problem solved!...just keep the fan running while you use the unit and save a bundle of $$ not having to send it back to Jura!...Bob in SC
