Try disk on other machine to see if it works. If it does then the issue is with your machine. If it does not, then the problem is with your disk.

make sure, that this function is available on your computer..... I assume you mean TV programme.... you have tv box kind of thing either on, or connected to computer... if so there is software, that allow you to do so..... if not, you still can use Microsoft Windows Media Center..... play with it.... it's there

Laptops do not have VGA or HDMI inputs.
You would be better connecting your PS3 to a TV with a HDMI input.

suggest downloading as many Android media players onto the TV from Google playstore and try them all. There will be some AVI files that just don't play on Android you might be able to convert avi to another video format with a file converter program.
Suggest VLC player but it is troublesome on android operating systems.
might work on your laptop or computer for the avi file.

If you have sounds already playing on the laptop, then you must switch your default to the HDMI then go and re open the program ie itunes. Any other program playing sounds on ur laptop speakers will continue to play through the lap top speakers...
On VISTA do this
Right click your screen
go to personalize
on the left there is an option "connect to a projectror or external display"
Click the speaker picture, and set the default to HDMI by right clicking it and selecting make default.
Close your media programs, and then re-open them and hit play

Connect your HDMI cable to laptop then change the setting in audio output to HDMI digital output

For toggling the display you need to press the Fn and F5 together

Acer 6530's are not able to play blu-ray discs without "Acer Arcade Deluxe" I had the same problem with mine and it wasn't until I downloaded this: http://www.cyberlink.com/stat/bd-support/enu/index.jsp

That will tell you if your PC can play blu-ray.

Acer Arcade is hard to find once removed from your PC. Check for it on your PC, in the programs list (Control Panel > Uninstall a program, then search the list) or search in the start menu - box at bottom called "Start Search".
If you can't find it I suggest you go back to where you bought the PC and ask them if they can provide you with some, any downloads from the internet are illegal versions. If that doesn't work, try calling Acer customer support.

If you are using Vista--
To uninstall it go to Control Panel from start menu-> Programs & features-> Click on Quick Play-> Uninstall-> Restart your Laptop and its done.

If you are using XP--
To uninstall it go to Control Panel from start menu-> Add/Remove Programs-> Select Quick Play-> Uninstall-> Restart your Laptop and its done.

Check the refresh rate of both the vid card in the laptop and of the tv--make sure they match--most older tv's run at a refresh rate of 60htz and blue ray players at 128htz meaning they are incompatible--good luck hope this helps

Your graphics card is too slow or you need more memory, mate. Make sure you don't have background programs running that can use up RAM.
