Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled or unauthorized cartridges. These tend to degrade print quality and cartridge/printer performance. I would highly recommend you replace your non-Lexmark cartridges with new genuine ones.

Lexmark wireless printer 1400 series prints blank pages

Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

If that doesn't help, the problem could be due to a clogged print cartridge nozzle. Please follow the steps below to fix print quality issues with your model:

  1. On your computer, go to Start menu.
  2. Go to Programs.
  3. Go to Lexmark Z1400 Series folder.
  4. Select Lexmark Solution Center.

From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through to clean the print cartridge nozzles.

After printing the test page, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Lexmark S305 won't authenticate ink non brand

Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled, re-manufactured or clone cartridges. You might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark. Also, when you use off-brand inks and cartridges, there is no way for Lexmark to be sure that materials and engineering choices used by a third party will not result in poor print quality or damage to your printer.
I highly recommend that you return your third-party cartridge if you still can get a refund and purchase genuine Lexmark cartridges instead.
Here's a tip to save on ink: A 100 "standard yield" cartridge for your model has a low sales price, but contains less ink. Your best value is a 100XL "high yield" cartridge. These have a higher sticker price, but contain almost 3 times as much ink as their standard yield cousins.

For the most optimal output experience with your model, I recommends that you update your printer firmware. The firmware helps ensure that you receive the highest yields of ink available from the cartridges, which offers the greatest value and means fewer necessary cartridge replacements. Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark S300 Series Firmware Update. If more than one download is listed for your model, choose the first download in the list. If it is the wrong firmware level, an error message will tell you which firmware level is correct.

Can not get the color to work in my lexmark x1240 printer to work? we tried to refill the old cartrage first but it leaked after a couple uses than we bought a new cartrage but it won't work.

Make sure that you are using genuine Lexmark cartridges and not refilled, re-manufactured or clone cartridges from the 3rd parties. Lexmark products work best with original supplies. If you are using genuine cartridges yet the problem persists, please don't hesitate to contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

Try to manually wipe the black cartridge nozzles with a moistened soft cloth to clean it from dirts and clogs. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the black cartridge. If error continues, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.
