I located a website (Maxi-Matic, USA) that has an identical Ultimate Chopper (names Super Elite Cuisine Chopper) - model EC-750 - Phone # (626) 912-9877. They have replacement parts including the clear plastic cover lid.

I would take just the motor and put it in my oven after I pre heated it at the lowest possible setting, and leave it there fo about four hours, be sure that the temp is not above 125 degrees. Leave the door open, this should dry out the motor.
