Internal memory I have a Sony DSC-W100 digital camera. There are pictures in internal memory. How can I get those transferred to a memory card so I can have prints made?

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

Simply plug in the USB cable that came with the camera. alternatively, use a memory card reader. take out your memory card and read it on your PC using your card reader

Two options: If you normally transfer your pictures by connecting your camera to your computer, remove the memory stick from the camera before making the connection.

Alternatively, if you use a card reader to transfer the pictures directly from the memory stick, use the "Copy" command in the "Memory Stick Tool" submenu to copy the pictures from the internal memory to the memory stick. You can transfer only internal memory to memory stick. In order to transfer images from Internal Memory to Memory Stick tool, please use the Copy option under the Memory Stick tool Menu.

You'll need a card reader to transfer the data to your PC.
These days most laptops and printer has built in card reader. But since Sony camera's use memory stick, some of them don't support memory stick. So,

• First check whether or not your printer or laptop has memory stick support, if has then use it to transfer you images. Otherwise you've to purchase a memory card reader with memory stick read support[should be available on any nearby electronic shop].
• Then remove your memory stick from your camera and connect it with your laptop.
• Open the memory card and copy your images.

Go into the Setup menu and select Copy. This will copy all images in internal memory to the memory stick.

Take out memory card from camera, turn it On and check does it show format error?
If yes, press Home, Memory option and format internal memory.
If camera does not show format error then put back memory card in and press Home, Memory card option and format it.
This will delete all files/ data and will refresh memory card, take some pictures and check.
If after formatting, still format error exist, put new memory card.

Insert memory card in camera, power it up and go to Menu>>Copy>>OK
That will copy internal memory pictures on to memory card.

either usb to computer or check in menus if there is a copy feature to copy internal pics to card through camera

Format the internal memory, you may have accidently written somthing incompatible to the memory from the lapt top (virus ??)
