I have a HD Visio and I lost my TV remote, my TV is stuck on Zoom Out and I cannot play my new Nintendo WII game becasue the TV picture is to large, I went into menu and could not see anything to zoom, can you help me take it off zoom mode with out a remote? I did not see anything pertaining to that in the menu?

a 3D tv is another form of an HD TV, you need the Wii HD cable to play it right, and make sure you plug it into the HD ports on the TV to get the color and sound back.

The Wii can display on a HDTV, but keep in mind the output is only 480p. It is not true high definition, and it will only display this using a component video cable. There shouldn't be a difference with LCD and plasma.

You will also need to go to the display settings to force the Wii to display in 480p.

Try a different input (safe to assume your Sony has multiple?) and see if it is that specific input. Also, try a different device like a DVD player or VCR and see if you get the same result.

Well that depends if your trying to play gamecube games on the gamecube or the wii?, i assume your doing it on the wii because anyone would know that a wii control wouldn't work on a gamecube, not impossible, just very hard

wii remotes do work with the nintendo wii on wii games and on gamecube games, but it is better if you use a gamecube controller and plug it into the to holes under the flap, pictured below, hopefully.

If you're wii remote works as a pointer but not when swinging it then it is a problem with the accelerometer inside the wii remote and not the infra red bit on the end. Good news is its usually just stuck as mine was. Nintendo recommend turning the remote upside down and giving it a few taps on the palm of your hand. Worked on mine and saved me £30 as i was about to buy a new one.

When you turn the Wii on, and the light goes from red or orange to green, press A a few times (this would be to get through the warning/safety screen) then wait a minute. Then when you wave your remote about, you will feel it vibrating as it goes over the channel icons on the wii menu screen. Plus a blue light will be lit at the bottom of the remote to denote player 1.

If all of this happens, it is just a lead or TV input issue. If these things do NOT happen, the Wii is broke and needs fixing by Nintendo!

After more checking around I found out this is not an uncommon problem with the wii. Apparently there is a design flaw that causes the graphics card to overheat, which creates various types of distortion. It may have something to do with using wiiconnect24. I am sending my wii back to nintendo for repairs.

Try and adjust your screen frequency in the wii system settings.

don't put DVDs in your Wii it isn't a DVD player

Hi, your wii should provide sound through the Tv as well as the wii remotes, All you need connected should be the skart cable connected to the tv to provide the picture & sound.
i would suggest you contact the company you purchased the wii, due to its still under warrenty. i currently have 2 with no problems and didnt need to change any settings

i put the wii on, powers up but i get a total black screen. wiimote does not connect either. what can i do to resolve this?
i have already disconnected all wires and connections, left it off for hours and tried putting it on again. no change. Black screen still remains. HELPPPP
