LG v181 won't eject - it tries to load even when there is no disc and won't slide out the tray at all.

It's likely a belt that drives the tray has snapped or come off! If you take the top off you might well see it!

Vhs is stuck in machine. Won't play and won't eject.

There are any number of reasons why it won't play. The loading basket is jammed, the video tape has got tangled up in the mechanical section of the vcr or the loading gears are stripped. Unplug machine and remove top, [screws side and back] if the tape is spewed carefully remove by cutting it and clean tape particles, for any other problem have a technician check it out.

The DVD player keeps opening and closing and won't play/load DVD's. What could be the problem?

There are sensors which tell the DVD drive that the drawer is closed and that there is a DVD inserted, if these fail there is usually no simple fix, the parts need to be replaced which requires complete dis-assesembly of the TV/DVD, Most people just choose to connect an external DVD as it is cheaper.

Check the data connector on the rear of the drive. If this doesn't work you may need a new drive, they are cheap and readily available.

I bought a LC DVD 199A in November for a Christmas present. Until today, I have not tried to used the DVD player because I haven't really had a chance. I put the source mode to DVD but the DVD...

The DVD player has a problem with the loading mechanism. Probably something has dropped inside it such as a coin or something else. It is really a simple problem. The reason why it would switch back to TV is because it is getting stucked. Get a flashlight and see if it has foriegn ofbect inside the slot. If you can remove it somehow it is the best way to fix it. I don't recommend opening the device.
