Unplug machine and remove top, [screws side and back] if the tape is spewed carefully remove by cutting it and clean tape particles, for any other problem have a technician check it out.
There are sensors which tell the DVD drive that the drawer is closed and that there is a DVD inserted, if these fail there is usually no simple fix, the parts need to be replaced which requires complete dis-assesembly of the TV/DVD, Most people just choose to connect an external DVD as it is cheaper.
Hello Check the loading motor and loading belt. If loading motor has damaged, or loding belt has broken or loose. the in-out tray mechanism won't work well.

The DVD player has a problem with the loading mechanism. Probably something has dropped inside it such as a coin or something else. It is really a simple problem. The reason why it would switch back to TV is because it is getting stucked. Get a flashlight and see if it has foriegn ofbect inside the slot. If you can remove it somehow it is the best way to fix it. I don't recommend opening the device.
