Reddy heater 115 just turns on then shuts off

a new flame sensor is in order, if you have spark and it blows fuel then thats the answer. you can get one thet will fit from Mr. Heater for 3 bucks. the wires are different so just splice the to your old wire harness, there is no wrong way to hook them up.

Unit will start, run about 5 seconds and

You did not state the model numbers of the heaters, so a good guess is all that I can do. Manuals might be available, but models are a must.

By your description the heaters are Hot Surface Ignitor types, opposed to the older technology spark plug heater. Right or wrong? Technology is different & troubleshooting is different.

The heaters are shutting down because the photocell is not seeing the flame, or the flame color is not absolutely correct. The photocell tells the computer to shut the heater down for safety reasons. It's going to be your job to troubleshoot and find out what's wrong.

Reddy heater won't stay on

What is the model number? Could be a number of things, depending on which technology is used on your particular 55,000 btu heater.

Reddy kerosine space heater

bucklehead...I assume you discarded the 2 year old fuel... if not do so. Your fuel delivery problem could be caused by a number of things. 1. Incorrect air pump pressure, 2. worn or restricted nozzle, 3. deteriorated fuel line or air line, which in turn is creating the ignition problem, 4. the spark plug is bad OR you may not have a fuel delivery problem at all - just a photocell that has gone bad or has a wasp nest built betweem the eye and the flame (check this first). If the photocell can't see the flame it will shut the heater down. That's it's only job.
