Start by checking the power at the mains terminal, then check the continuity of the power input cable. if its healthy then confirm that all fuse in the cable plug is ok.remove the cover and check on the switch mode power supply.conduct a visual inspection to acertain any blown component like the fuse, swollen filter capacitor, the burnt resistors and diodes. if they do not seem to appear phisically burnt then conduct a meeasuring test with a multimeter.
replace any faulty component and test the television by opening the power input fuse and connecting a 100w bulb in series and feed in the power. if the tv oscillates and the bulb lights up then gets dim gradually then the tv is working hence you can now remove the series test bulb and place back the fuse and connect all the cables in place and feed in the power and you see your tv lighting up

There is an internal fuse if could be blown. If the fuse is good you might try reflowing the solder on the power board.

The sound and picture goes out on my LG lcd tv. Power light stays on
if you are not a tech then take your tv to a repair man.there is a problem in your tv power supply...the pwer supply is attached to where the power cord leads to the wall outlet.good luck.kindly dont make repairs yourself.

The picture on my Bush tv goes off after about 10-15 secons but the sound remains on. I have tried to move the aeriel without success.
Try with a DVD player and see if it does the same.or go to pwer saving mode and check settings.Than you.

The TV screen goes blank and there is no sound...if we wait for awhile...the picture reappears.
you should bring your unit to a qualified service pesonnel, problem like this is not a DIY act unless your a professional serviceman.

here are the check points
power supply,
X or Y sustain board,
bad screen (PDP panel),
logic board,
buffer boards

these sections of your TV are replaceable board.
the least you can do is just replace first the bulging/deformed capacitors.
begin with the power supply section..
after replacing try to pwer on again

SMPS circuit to be checked for defective diodes or capacitors. Replace fuse with correct rating.

Ive just replaced my power supply and when i turn on the computer i get a continuous beeping sound.also my moniter wont display.ive got pwer to it but no picture and the mouse dont work.all fans ar running...
You may have to reseat the memory.
Check all motherboard connections and if that does not work for you, remove and resaet your video card and work one card at a time.

When i power up the tv, it immediately shuts off
How old is the tv? Sounds like the bulb. Is there any kind of lamp light indicator blinking or on? Averager life of a bulb is a few years, but could very well be shortened. Also check any surge protectors you might have. Maybe you recently had a surge and it needs to be reset. Last but not least try recycling the power on the tv. Unplug for 10 seconds then plug back in. happens a lot with cable boxes, recievers, and tv's from time to time.

Hitachi hdtv flat panel tv no soundand no picture
Most of the case horizontal output transister failure cause these type of problems. Additionally flyback transformer failure also leads same problem but it depends upon aging of the tv. Whatever it is it could be fixed by service Technician only.

Your pwer supply module has problem. Check diode (Z3) and 2 surface mount resistors (R65A and R65B).
