first of all unplug the refrig.
look at the bottom of the disp cover and you will find 2 slots for you to slide in a flat tip screw driver. carefully pry the bottom of the cover loose 1 side at a time.once this is loose, either remove the 2 screws that hold the switch housing in place or release the clips ( depends exactly onwhich model you as to wether there are clips or screws) once this is free remove the plastic funnel, by this point you should see how the chute door removes.
a few notes the disp cover can be hard to remove but it will come loose also reinstalling just hit it firmly over each clip witht he palm of your hand.

weavie, this is one of those ugly little problems. Get hold of a small screwdriver, a pointy knife blade or similar and stick it into the gap, however small, between the cap and the handle. You may be able to find a small indent or similar near the bottom side of the cap. Gently pry up. It will yield. Be patient.

To tighten the screw the first step is to remove the handle. With this model just pull straight up on the handle. It can take a little force but after it finally unclips it moves up an inch or two then pulls straight out. Good luck!

When I brought my side by side home,I had to remove both doors. I also had to remove the entry door AS WELL as the door center jamb!! Removing the refridgerator doors is really not a major task!

To move refrigerator through a house door, it may

1. Removing Refrigerator
Handle
Grasp the handle tightly with
both hands and slide the handle up (this may require some force).

the handle allow the handle to separate from the mounting screws.

2. Removing

Press the handle
against door first.
Grasp the handle
tightly with both hands and slide the handle to right (this may require some force).
