Question about Philips Senseo HD-7810 Coffee Maker

This is a repeat of what I wrote at a similar question for the Delonghi BCO 120. We had gotten a used unit from friends that said the coffeemaker side no longer worked. It was only about a year old. My husband replaced the thermal fuse, which you can buy at Radio Shack, they are only a couple of bucks. It worked fine for a few months, then I noticed a small leak underneath unit after making a pot of coffee. It didn't always happen. I had read that the water reservoir tank was not seating properly, so I pushed the tank down firmly, but it still leaked. I then removed the bottom cover using a small jeweler's screwdriver. This was easily done since husband had already removed bottom screws with his safety Torx driver. I then had unit raised and ran a pot of coffee to brew. I located leak at top rear right of unit where the vertical tube that runs along the back right side connects to another short silicon tube and this connects to the black shower head. I removed the orange silicon tube from the no. 2 plastic vertical tube and out of nowhere, a cable tie fell out. I then had to remove the cover that has the Strength knob. It has a screw or two plus two tabs you depress with a screwdriver to release the top cover. You'll find four screws that hold down the shower head. I had to replace these with no. 6 stainless steel screws, though this head stays put on its own. If you can't find the screws in the right length, use bolt cutters to cut them to size. Replaced all three cable ties as they were a bit loose. Makes sense because plastic and rubber can shrink from heat and age. Cable ties aren't the best for plumbing, but I replaced them as we have plenty of these on hand for tying computer cables together. Crimp them tight and snap, the ends get cut off. You could probably use a very small c-clamp. Make sure the cable tie that crimps the opaque silicon tube to the black shower head is near the end of the tube, otherwise it won't seat flush when you reassemble it. I haven't had a leak since doing this.
