I have a blue circle with a blue line through it on the top of my galaxy s right by my icon that shows how much charge i have, i want to know what that means? i am wondering if that has anything to do with why my phone is not working right? i have it lock where i have to draw a pattern an it will let me draw the pattern but will not go past that screen and also it will just blink to that screen and back to a black screen by its self?

Please describe what "Completely went dead" means.
Did it fully Power Off?
Did you have to hold the Power button down for a while to get the phone to go through a Restart?
Did the phone come back on when you pressed the Side button?

are you using pc of phone
on pc there will be a tool bar (line of icons) at the bottom of the screen one will be E in a circle that is the explorer browser that will connect to the internet.
1. Play the song.
2. Tap the now playing screen.
3. On the Now Playing screen, you will now see play and volume controls at the bottom of the screen. At the top is track information. Under the album title is a scrubbing bar that indicates the time remaining in the song.
4. A small icon that looks like two circular arrows is on the left side below the scrubbing bar. Tap this icon once to repeat the album. The icon will turn blue when repeat is activated.
5. Tap the icon again to repeat the current song. The icon will change to show the number 1 inside a blue circle.
6. Touch the icon a third time to cancel any repeat. The icon will turn white when it's deactivated.
Looks like your wifi is on and is set to the default internet option. Turn off the wifi first by going to the wifi icon in your menu and tapping the wifi circle in the middle.
To change the internet profile i.e. 3G go to menu/internet/settings/internet profiles and choose your preffered option, normally you will need to request internet settings from your network provider by sending a text.
The blue icon you speak of is tells you wifi is on this should go away once wifi is deactivated better to do this as wifi eats up the battery on this phone big time.
