Hello, George. This is a fault with the units... not with some mistake from the settings.

Here's some help from Canon:

Yesterday i was driving my 2002 range rover and the "gearbox fault" message appeared. after my RPM and speedometer dropped to zero any time I tap on brake. Main console went blank and then lights...

It does sound like the alternator isn't working. Did you have to jump the vehicle or charge the battery to get it to start back up? If you did not have to do either the possibility of the alternator working is good. The car will run with less power in the battery then what it takes to start the car. If you did not have to jump or charge battery to get it started again you might be better of checking for loose or corroded connections and most likely a maim power cable or wire. A bad diode in the alternator can also cause what you described due to the alternator putting out an AC current the computers and electrical components won't work right they were built to handle DC current. If you don't have the proper test equipment to test for AC current just disconnect the alternator while the car is acting up and if ever thing goes back to normal you will know it is the alternator. You are going to need at least a volt meter. The voltage while the engine is running should be 14 to 14.8 volts.

I have a Canon Image runner 1023. when I print i get the message load paper A4, change reg'd size, common settings. and the error light is flashing

Hi
First check the document you are printing from and make sure the paper settings on the specific document are set correctly. Then check the papersize settings on the driver,go to printers and faxes in controll panel,Right click on the ir driver, select printing properties and the printing prefences, change the papersize to the correct papersize.
then check the papersize settings on the machine under the additional usermode.
Clear the job that is stucked in the memory by pressing the monitior button (diamand with a eye sign)select print and clear the job.
Try printing again.

When printing from Word Perfect, the message MF Feed Letter comes up and I have to feed pages manually.

This means you send a printjob that needs "Letter" size and tray 2 is set to another size than "Letter". Make sure you set the papersize on the printer the same as the papersize of the printjob. Gerrit Jan

Change papersize when receiving fax

Try searching the online support site for the manufacturer of your printer and search for "reset printer" and follow those instructions, or search the check paper size error and see what they say to do....
(for HP, go to www.hp.com, etc.)
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
