Hello, I have a Lumix DMC-FS10, I have found that some of my photos have downloaded to thumbprint size which won't seem to go any bigger without distortion and some are normal I unfortunately deleted them off my memory card after transfering them onto my laptop then onto discs and didn't realise i had a problem untill to late what should i do in future to ensure this doesn't happen again? This is my second Lumix camera the one down from this which i never had any problem with and took fantastic pictures with easy to use for a novice like me regretably got stolen on holiday can i still buy this old model DMC-FX33? Thanks Janet

Actually, you still might be able to get those photos back, even though they've been erased. Try not to take any more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.
This sounds like the problem may have occurred because you might not have formatted the card in your camera as recommended by the manufacturer. If true, after you've recovered your photos, format the card in your camera using the camera's format feature. This will prevent this from happening again.

I have lost the lead from my camera to my computer so I can't get the photos off my camera on to my Mac. Where can I find a replacement lead?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as iPhoto.

Even if you have to purchase a card reader, you might save money anyway. The last card reader I bought cost me less than the last USB cord I bought (and I still haven't used that cord with any of my cameras, only with my tablet).

My Panasonic Lumix FS10 wont take any pictures, (the memory card is write protected) is displayed on the screen?

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
