Ok here we go...
Read these instructions before you start. The fridge must be plugged in to reboot.
Press and hold the door alarm keypad
Press and hold the freezer temp down pad
Release the door alarm pad
Wait 3 seconds then release the freezer down keypad
The control should display PE to indicate you are in the programming mode.
Entry is confirmed by pressing the freezer temp down pad once more.
The control should display the current code. Your code is on the serial # XXXX Should be 0302. NOTE! If the correct code is not displayed the you will have to change the code.
If the correct code is displayed , simply open the refrigerator door and the control will reboot.
If the correct code is not displayed do the following:
Press the refrigerator temperature up pad or the refrigerator down temp pad to change the digit value.
The decimal point indicates the selected digit. Press the freezer temperature up pad to select the next digit.
Once the desired program code is displayed press and hold the freezer temp down pad until the program code begins to flash.
You have 3 minutes to do this reprogram or the unit will shut you out and you will need to start over!
Hope this helps!
Let me know if you need more assistance or if you have any questions.
Yes, you should be able to press up or down. If it does not respond, unplug the unit for 1 min and plug it back in and repeat the programming sequence.
Are you sure the new control board is the same as the old?
Keep me posted.

Once PE is displayed on freezer display--should one be able to set digits up or dwn.Code is 1515.
I,ve only done models with 2 digit codes. Rene
I put the old control back in.When I moved the paddle up& down on the new icemaker-one could hear a click whereas on the old one there was nothing.I just installed the new icemaker--I,ll check
the old one out later. If it makes ice again--why is it that one could get o volts to icemaker harness
connector?I thought for sure problem was in main control board.I remember getting at least 55
volts on some fridges--replaced icemaker & they worked.
I usually always trust the guys or gals on parts--connector plugs were the same.Same part# on
board that showed up on part breakdown.Wasn,t a sub. Will drop by & check fridge for ice
dispensing tomorrow morning. I have a good feeling problem was with icemaker itself. Can,t
believe the 90 day warranty with Whirlpool. Rene
Stopped by house this morning & ice cubes come out the
dispenser.Thanks for your info. Rene
