If this is a tube type or crt type. Your vertical circuit has a problem. Could be the vertical IC loose connection on its board. Or the vertical ic itself is faulty. If just resoldering or refluxing of its pins doesn't help check some minor cmponent within vertical circuit. Or the vertical ic is defective already.

If your not inclined on electronics never do the repair itself, nasty voltages might caught you.

N64 is pretty old so RCA connections is about the best your going to get. Not sure where You could pick this up locally since the one end that plugs into the game system is unique to the Nintendo 64 but this it what it looks like and it will run you like 8 bucks on the Net.

My Nintendo 64 when I was in the middle of a game it froze and the screen went all black and then it went to the tv screen saying no signal then.

Well one time I had this problem with my Nintendo 64 console when I was in the middle of playing perfect dark the screen had froze went black and then it went to saying no signal on the tv screen. The console did not over heat to cause this problem. I thought that it had died on me but I had tried a new expansion pack and it was fine after that. SOmetimes the expansion packs can blank out in the middle of a game play they can die without a warning then. Or it can say expansion pack needed or it will give the white flash that it is turning on but nothing happens after that then.

Nintendo 64 saying no signal when hooked up to HDTV

Nintendo 64 does not have HD capabilities.
It is likely you are plugging your audio and video cables into the wrong locations on the back of your television.
Please ensure that the yellow cable (video) is plugged into the yellow outlet in the back of your television, and the white and red cables (audio) are plugged into the corresponding outlets in the back of your television as well.

How do you plug in a nintendo 64 to my t.v

make sure the correct plugs in the nintendo 64 are in their sockets (not that hard to do, as one is massive and the AV cable is small) and then make sure the other side of the massive cord is plugged into the power point, then plug the correct AV cords into the correct colours of the AV receiver (red to red, white to white, yellow to yellow) hope this helps

My nintendo 64 is freezes in the middle of when I am playing it. Now when I re-start it to play the game again the red light would signal that the nintendo is on but no picture is going on the TV. Is it...

Well if it freezes and the screen turns black and than the tv screen says no signal and the light is on i had a problem like that with my 14 year old N64 console so it looked like it was dead and died but it was the expansion pack that did this it makes it look like it died but it didnt.

Nintendo 64 game console, TV says no signal,

This usually indicates that you have the video cables connected incorrectly. The T.V. is just telling you that it's not getting any video signal from the console.

Check your connections, and if all looks well, perhaps the consoles video outputs or cable is shot.

Good luck.

Says unusable signal when trying to hookup my Nintendo 64.

Here are a couple of things to try. Go into the menu and make sure that you have the "ANTENNA" selected instead of "CABLE". Also make sure that the channel that you are using (3 or 4) is programmed into the memory of the tv. If not, use "auto program" in the menu to program the channels.

These newer tv's are not the same as older tv's. If none of that works, put a antenna amp on the output of the nintendo and then plug it into the tv. This should fix it.
