You are not completing the descale program. See below.

Due to the continuous heating of the water used to make the coffee, over
time it is normal for the tubing inside the machine to fill with lime scale.
When the light starts flashing( chap. 12-point 5), it is time to descale
the machine.
NOTE: when the light switches on, the coffee maker can still be used to
prepare coffee.
Proceed as follows:
• Empty the tank and pour in the contents of one bottle (125 ml) of
DURGOL descaler plus one liter of water. For subsequent descaling
operations, descaling solution can be purchased from authorised
technical service centres.
NB: Make sure splashes of descaler do not fall onto surfaces sensitive
to acid such as marble, limestone and glaze.
• place a container with a minimum capacity of 1.5 litres under
the milk frother (Fig. 3);
• turn the machine on by pressing the button (Fig. 4).
• wait for the green and indicator lights to come on steady.
• press and hold the button for at least 5 seconds (Fig.14). The
light inside the button switches on (chap. 11 - point 8) to indicate
the start of the descaling program (the and lights remain
off to indicate that it is not possible to make coffee).
• turn the steam knob half a turn anticlockwise (Fig.5). The
descaling solution will come out of the milk frother and start to
fill the container underneath.
• the descaling program automatically performs a series of deliveries
and pauses, so as to remove the lime scale deposits from
inside the coffee maker.
The two red buttons

The two red buttons

opened out
• after around 30 minutes, when the light comes on (chap. 12 - GB
point 1), turn the steam knob half a turn clockwise (Fig.6) until it
The machine must be rinsed so as to eliminate the residues of descaling
solution from inside the machine. Proceed as follows:
• remove the water tank, rinse it and fill it with clean water.
• reposition the tank.
• empty the collection container (located under the milk frother) that is
full of liquid, and then replace it under the milk frother.
• turn the steam knob half a turn anticlockwise (Fig. 5). Hot water will
come out of the milk frother and fill the container underneath.
• when the tank is empty, the light goes off and the light
comes on (chap. 12 - point 1).
• turn the steam knob all the way clockwise (Fig. 6) and fill the water
tank with clean water again.
• the program of descaling is hour terminated and the machine is
ready per do again the coffee.

NOTE: if the descaling procedure is stopped before completion, the
alarm (chap. 12 - point 5) is not deactivated and the procedure
must be started again form the beginning.

This still happens when the instructions are followed to the letter!

Got the same problem, the solution is with the proper ending of rinsing procedure. And the rinsing isn't explained properly in manual.

It tells you that when tank gonna be empty and the steam (yellow) indicator blinking it's done. And yes it is true in the end.
But before that the tank gonna get emptied and same indicator gonna be blinking, though there will be tank-refill icon active as well. In this case you need only to add more water to the tank and the procedure will continue.

Also in manual you'll see that the hot water will go out from the milk frozer while rinsing. In my case it started from the milk-frozer for couple seconds then goes from coffee outputs, like a lot, then after some time water started to run from milk-frozer again, about liter or so. And only after that the procedure ended.

To note: near the end of rinsing you'll hear the metalic clang (the same as when the machine routinely clears itself). Also when water tank needs refill you can turn the steam knob to position 0, and thus check if the procedure has ended, if yes the red indicator will turn off, otherwise just turn the knob to 1 again and refill the tank, it'll continue the rinsing.

SOURCE: Descaling light still blinks on our Magnifica 3300

I would move the machine to another room and use a couple of cups of plain white vinegar and let it sit overnight before running the cycle again. The mild acid should remove the calcium buildup.

SOURCE: No water flow even though descaling

I started the descaling process as according to manual. I tried running water through every 6 hours or so, however it kept coming up dry. I left the water in for a total of 2 days before finally the water managed to come through.

SOURCE: the message "descale" is on and even though we

the best and cheapest descaler is vinegar. Let it sit in the machine for a couple of hours and then run it through a few times. Works wonderfully!

Krups Ea8050, been through descaling process , now keep getting unplug icon, does not fill up,and unable to go to any other program

Did you completely finish the descale process. On the models I'm familiar with you run thru the descale doing every step it requests then refill the tank and run thru the rinsing process until it ends completely. As far as I know there is no reset for errors, the problem needs to be located and fixed. I have no idea what the unplug icon may be indicating.

Cup size is too small on our Keurig. We descale per the manual but it doesn't last and we descale again. Filters are changed and we use filtered water.

Do the descale process again and then start using distilled water, even though the water you use is filtered, it can have a lot of minerals left in it.

What does the red light descaling prompt light stay on? how can i know i have everything possible?

Fill it up the tank with descaler and start the machine on descaling. Leave it to trow all the liquid and must finish to the bottom, leave the machine to get AIR when descaler finished. Then the machine will stop and will tell you to put fresh water to clean . Fill the water tank to the MAX level and continue with the program. When the water is on minimum ,machine will stop, and the descaling process must be finished.
Good luck

Giaggia Brera descaling problem

been talking to Gaggia (Philips) and they told me that with the newer Breras, you need to ill the water tank, put the machine into standby, then press the long and short cup buttons together for 6 seconds. This will start an auto descale programme (that they didn't mention in my manual!). A small amount of water will be dispensed through the coffee nozzles, then it will stop and the warning triangle and the prime warning light will come on. Place a large container under the panarello, then turn the knob to the right to dispense water. It will dispense about 50 - 100 mls (cold) water, then stop for about a minute. Just leave it and eventually it will empty the tank. Refill it and start again, but it will stop after a few seconds. Turn the knob back to central position, then it will dispense another small amount of water from the coffee nozzles, then stop with warning lights again. Turn the knob back right to dispense water, if it stops because of empty tank, just refill it. Eventually, the machine will stop and go to standby. Turn the knob back to the centre, refill tank yet again and the machine will start normally WITHOUT that descale warning light. HOORAY !!

I have a Magnifica. The descale red flashing light won't reset after going through the descaling procceedure.

I have the same problem with my Delonghi Magnifica, so maybe there is a glitch in the machine..

How do you descale the kerig?

You must buy a descaling liquid at any big grocery chain. Then add the right amount of cleaner with water in the tank.Set the machine thru a descaling mode or just run a few cycles without coffee thru the machine. Then i would just run clean water thru a few cycles just to clean any residue left from the cleaner. If your using any type of bottled water when you make coffee, I would just use tap water, this will slow down the scaling process.
good luck

After descaling the two coffe cup lights keep flashing .

You have finished the descale process and your descale light should be gone. Put a fresh tank of water on the machine and then open the steam knob. This should clear the water light and your machine will start heating again.
