Hi FIXYA the pannel display on my Sony PMC-MD55 Shelf System is not showing corectlly ,i see half numbers and half letters ,do i need to replace the whole display or is it an electric pb , i will aprecciate your reply , thanks DANIEL

Hi, with just the controls on the unit itself you cannot set the radio station presets. They are set by holding down one of the numbered keys on the remote while in radio mode. The letter P with a flashing number will show up on the display to indicate you are setting that preset, radio will stop flashing and station will be locked into memory.

Contact the nearest Sony Authorised Service Center at your town. They only can provide the original replacement board. Give them the exact model number of your shelf system. OK.

Like I've posted before, if it does that still after having unplugged the speakers, it's because there is a component inside that is grilled, or a short in the Speaker output section.. If you know electronics, you can open it and look, but I'd recommend getting it repaired by a professional, cause this system's amplification system could shock you real bad if you touch a bad thing, even if unplugged, Or just get a new system, that's what I'm making since I have a few problems with mine.. It has done it's time!

look at the front side of a motor,you will see two screws,remove it,and that's it,change your belt.
