If you have an external usb keyboard you can connect that and use that instead. Also you can buy replacement keyboards online Acer Aspire 5735 Keyboard eBay There are also tutorials on line on how install them. Its strange that it just stopped working maybe a short or a driver issue. Also in a pinch you can use the on screen keyboard program windows has build in.
Are you sure the video bios supports that resolution? You may need a bios upgrade (if there is one). Go to the emachines website first, ugh, Then try the ACER website
http://www.acersupport.com/select netbooks, the Aspire one AOD 255 looks similar to your model the drivers may be the same.
good luck
sounds like you will need a new keypad, afraid theres no way to fix them, by any chance did you spill anything on the keypad as i have done this far to often with same problem arising.
Laptop keyboard are semi-sealed circuit boards. This means that liquid can get into the contacts and can not be cleaned. Depending on how much liquid was spilled on the keyboard chances are that the liquid has seeped around the edges of the keyboard and down onto the mainboard of the laptop. My first suggestion would be to keep the laptop turned off until you can remove the keyboard and check for liquid damage to the mainboard. If there is no damage to the mainboard I would suggest buying a new keyboard before turning the computer back on as any shorts caused by the liquid damage on the keyboard can cause damage to the keyboard controller circuit on the mainboard.
