How to over ride ink level on canon mx300 - Office Equipment & Supplies

  • Anonymous Sep 23, 2008

Have refilled ink using original cartridges. The printer will print, although it doesn't recognise the cartridge is now full. The problem is... I have a fax in memory and 'cos the printer doesn't recognise the full cartridge, I cannot print the fax from memory. Therefore, can someone please help me override the printers ink settings to make it believe the cartridges are full? Carolyn ;)

I just replaced both ink cartridges and the alarm light is now on. The LCD screen reads check ink, U053, BLK COL. I can't get the printer to work or perform any functions.

On the canon MX300, holding the "reset" button down for about 10 seconds will extinguish the alarm light & should normalize all functions. The ink level will still indicate "low" , just ignore it.
