My Kenmore 62602 electric dryer stopped working mid cycle and now wont start back up. can you suggest a few working sloutions?

It is probably the heat sensor, it turns off the machine if it gets too hot. You will most likely have to replace this or bypass it. It should show you where it is in the manual or the electrical schematic that comes with the washer

Kenmore 400 6942 Dryer Problem my dryer stop thowing hot air

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

My kenmore 90 dryer will stop. It is like it

The operating thermostat has most likely failed. When the dryer heats up, it gets too hot and the high limit thermostat turns it off. When the machine cools down, it will start, again.

Dryer gets really hot, blows circuit breaker, vent is clean and clear, circuit breaker replaced, seems to be something that controls the heat isnt working..

Howdy: In back of the dryer is a thermostat (inside) that lint hangs to. If it reads too hot it should stop heating. If not working then blows breaker. Inspect please, we do not want a electric fire. Good luck - Doug

Kenmore dryer hot, but doesn't dry clothes...also spueaks

Sam,
A dryer function is really simple:
Gets hot, boils left over moisture from clothes and it needs to blow it out.
If it is getting hot and it is turning - Then your problem is in the exhaust system.
Check all pipes that carry moisture/steam/vapor out of your machine and make sure is free of any restrictions.
Good Luck

Cleaned vents, dryer gets very hot, shuts off w/o drying clothes

Sounds like a faulty operating thermostat. Only way is to test on a electric griddle that you can set the temperature to 150 deg and measure with a ohm meter.

Kenmore dryer

Probably too late to help either of you since this is so old but there are two possibilities (assuming everything else works as normal).

1st
If you really mean the circuit breaker to your house, then the heating element is bad and pulling too many amps. It may be shorting out when it gets hot due to the expansion of metal.

2nd
If you mean a switch on (or in) the dryer then you mean a thermal breaker (or thermal fuse). The most likely problem is that the exhaust vent for the dryer is plugged up with lint either within the dryer itself or in the part that is in your wall and exits someplace outside (could be as far as the roof). When the hot air can't escape the dryer overheats and shuts off to prevent a fire.
