Good Afternoon

When the fabric is removed for washing it should not be overly complicated to replace the fabric after washing. The only instructions for removing the fabric can be followed in reverse order to put the fabric back on can be viewed on the Facebook page under Dorel UK Customer Services.

If the harness has been pulled out of the seat it will need to be replaced by the engineers due to the safety implications of it being put back incorrectly. To organise this please contact the customer service team on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30.

I took the maxi-cosi straps of to wash and now do not know how to put them back.

Due to the safety implications of the harness being incorrectly fitted the harness should never be removed. To get the harness back in the carseat safely the carseat would need to come to the engineers for them to carry out this work. Please call the customer service department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30 to discuss.

I need to clean fabric does it come away from seat

Good Evening

The fabric on all Maxi Cosi carseats can be removed for cleaning purposes.

Instructions for removing the fabric can be found in your user manual. If you no longer have your user manual you can download another copy at www.maxi-cosi.com Select the CabrioFix carseat as your model and you will see a tab over the image to download a copy of the manual it has a step by step guide in here for how to remove the fabrics to clean them.

It is recommended that fabrics are sponge washed by hand and dried naturally. Use a mild detergent suitable for hand washing and ensure it is thoroughly rinsed. To prevent discolouration of the fabric do not leave it to dry in direct sunlight. The fabric should not be tumble dried as this may cause unsightly bobbling.

Once removed how do you replace the cover and put the strap back correctly for rear facing maxi-cosi car seat?

Good Evening

Instructions for replacing your fabrics are in your Maxi Cosi CabrioFix user manual. If you no longer have your user manual you can download another copy at www.maxi-cosi.com and selecting the CabrioFix carseat. Above the product image you will see a tab to download a user manual.

If you have removed the harness from the carseat completely this carseat needs to be sent to our engineers for them to re-thread the harness. Due to the safety implications of this being done incorrectly we cannot recommend that this is done by anyone else. The standard charge is £50 and this would include courier delivery service of the carseat back to your address. In addition you will need to make arrangements and cover costs for a courier delivery service of the carseat into our engineers.
