JoWood Productions World War 3: Black Gold Logo
Posted on Sep 19, 2011

I have a problem with World War 3 Black Gold. I've just installed it on my PC. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and the game won't start. I double click on the WW3.exe, small black screen appears and disappears and World War III Setup appears after that. No matter which resolution I test I cannot start the game. If I click on OK without testing the resolution, it just asks me if I really want to start the game on an un-tested resolution. If I test the resolution and click OK, nothing happens... at all. Like if the OK button was just a decoration. Help me, please, I really want to replay this old RTS classic.

I had the same issue and resolved it by downloading the World war 3 black gold 1.2 Patch - install this and you should be fine. I will still ask you to select a resolution but it will actually let you now.

I got mine from here

Does ultimate solitaire 1000 games work on windows 7

It should, if its designed for Windows xp you should be fine!

If it does not work/says you have 64bit try right clicking installer click properties, compatibility and set to windows xp.
When you do that install it.
Right click the exe and repeat the compatibility stuff. Tell me if it works.

World war 3 black gold will not start

You need to get a copy of either DOSBox or VirtualBox to help you play older games on your newer system. You can download them and learn about them from the links below.

I have a new computer and i am trying to install, from the original disk, World War III Black Gold. it seems to install fine but the game will not start. Ive tried many different ways of starting it i.e....

Yep. Compatibility. But there is hope. Find the game icon. Right click it and click Properties... adracamas_7.png
Then click Compatibility. Once there check on 'Run as Administrator', then Ok. Try it again. If it still doesn't want to work then go back to the same windo and click 'Run Program in Compatability Mode for...' and select a previous version of Windows (XP SP3 for example). If that don't work push it back a little further and further until you find one that works.

When I start the game a message come and says: CALL OF DUTY WORLD AT WAR/CAMPAIGN/COOP HAS STOP WORKING. I use windows 7.

this is probably due to the fact that your system doesnt have the necessary updates or drivers to run this game properly or an incomplete installation of the game on your hard disk.try re-installing the game and go through the system requirements to see if your system meets it

How do i get Act of War high Treason to work on windows 7 64bit?

THIS IS THE FIX for Act of War and High-Treason

look no further, here is the solution for the memory and video memory crash. You need to go to your game location:
1- For steam users its Program Files (x86) >> Steam >> steamapps >> common >> Act of War High treason (else its the normal
Program Files (x86) >> Atari >> Act of War High treason and right click on ActofWar_HighTreason.exe and put the compatibility mode on one of the Vista.

2- Download
http://cns-spb.ru/d3d9.zipand put that .dll file in same location. Remmember to store this file for later use, since we dont know how long the link will be up and spread the massage since there are many who has trubble running this game.

Works at least on W7 Ultimate x64 sp1
