On Windows computers, you should have what is known as the taskbar. This is the gray strip that runs across the bottom of your computer and which displays icons for quickly accessing programs you frequently use. The taskbar also shows the "Start" menu, clock and icons for your Internet connections. Sometimes icons do not appear properly in the taskbar. This usually is because the computer is new and hasn't had icons placed in the taskbar manually, or because a default setting is off in the OS properties. Both are simple fixes.

1.Right-click the "Start" icon and select "Properties."

2.Select the "Taskbar" tab in the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialogue box.

3.Uncheck "Lock the taskbar" and "Auto-hide the taskbar." Check "Show Quick Launch." Since the Quick Launch box isn't available in some systems, you may need to right-click on the taskbar area, choose "Toolbars" and then select "Quick Launch."

4.Navigate to the programs you want to show on the taskbar through the "Start" menu or on your desktop. Right-click the program and drag it to the taskbar. Choose "Create shortcuts here" from the menu that appears. The icon for the program should appear in the taskbar.

My screen is turned upside down how do i change it back

Look at the taskbar and try to locate the video adapter control software. Once you open it, there should be an area inside that controls screen orientation. There you can rotate the screen back to its normal orientation.

How to get the task bar back to it's natural size?

Right click on the taskbar and make sure there isn't a check nex to "lock the taskbar". Then move the mouse to the top edge of the taskbar until you see the arrows that point up and down. Click and hold and drag down until it is where you want it. Also you can click and hole anywhere on the taskbar and drag it to any edge of your screen.

The display of start button and all the short cuts upside down and is on the top right hand corner ot the screen

In order to move the Taskbar (that is the where the start button is located) all you need to do is left click on an open area of the task bar and drag it down to the bottom of the screen. When you release the left mouse button the Taskbar will appear at the bottom of your screen.

Screen went upsde down

What do you mean the screen went upside down? Have you moved the Taskbar to the top? If so, right-click on Taskbar, make sure it is not locked(not ticked at Lock the taskbar), then left click on an empty space of the taskbar holding down the mouse button and drag the taskbar around the edges to where you want it.

Picture upside down

The Logitech QuickCam software has a setting for "up side down", did you try to change that?
You should have a webcam icon in the taskbar notification area. If you double-click that you can open the QuickCam program and change the settings.

Top screen

This is very unusual and I've never come across it. I can only think there has been some type of software corruption as you can not put the screen in backwards or upside down.

Flipped\upside down screen on my compaq

Windows XP: Flipping the screen upside down and back again

Once, at University, someone had flipped the screens of all the public computers (running on Windows XP) of the English Department upside down. The wallpaper, desktop icons, fonts, mouse-cursor and even the start-up screen...everything was displayed or moved upside down. People could not check out their e-mails or surf or do anything.
To reverse the upside down screen mode, press ctrl, alt and the up arrow (arrows console) at the same time; the screen will probably go blank. Turn off the monitor, turn it on again and the display will be normal again. If you possess a sense of humour or are antisocial, press ctrl, alt and the down arrow simultaneously, turn off the monitor, turn it on again and everyone (excluding the culprit) will be desperate --> upside down! Works for Windows XP Home and Prof.
