Hello Yarbrough, if you have changed the unit from CD to radio and still the unit is still on mute and also you have tried increaasing the volume which I presume you have already done, then the problem is hardware related. First check the cables which connect the unit to the speakers if these cables are intact then the unit sound IC is bad. The sound IC is an internal component of the unit which channels the sound to the connector ports where the cables which are connected to the speakers transfer the sound to the speakers. Usually IC's are quite compatible with several units so getting a replacement should not be so hard get an expert to open up the unit and replace the IC. Sorry for any inconvenience. The only identifying information I have is the number I gave and it is not in the list on your website. As for the local Blaupunct service center, since this unit was OEM in the Chevrolet Cruze, and probably made especially for them, they have no information or don't want to give any. They send you to the Chevrolet dealer and there is not one in my town which is why I asked you guys.

Of course I have adjusted the volume and the unit is the same. It is muted in cassette, radio, and CD operation on all 4 outputs. I think there are 2 ICs feeding the output speakers and the indication is more that of a mute command than a failed amplifier, especially since there is no sound at all.
