TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless USB Adapter 150MBPS IEEE 802.11B/G/N Pre-802.11n Logo
Anonymous Posted on Sep 18, 2011

I have Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium on a Gateway desktop computer. I plugged in the newly purchased TL-WN722N wireless adapter and installed the driver from the CD. I connected to the Linksys WRT54G wireless router in my home. Though I can connect to websites, there is a yellow star on the wireless connection icon in the tray on my screen. When I click on it and go to the Networking and Sharing Center, there is a red cross on the picture of the computer connection to the internet. Under "View your active networks", it says that "You are not currently connected to any networks." I am also not able to connect to my other computer (Windows XP) on the home network or use the printer on the other computer.

The adapter was not plugged in fully. I pushed it all the way in and it started working just fine.

Dear ubose1, This is Howard from TP-LINK Support Force. Maybe the anti-virus software blocks the driver installation. Please disable the self-defense function and exit it. Then try to install the driver again.

I accidentally uninstalled the network adapter driver....where do I go to load an install on a flashdrive....it is a gateway windows vista home premium .....model number M-1629

Hi there,

This is a link to the drivers for the M-16's from Gateway. There is more than one Wireless driver so you might need to install them all and try them if you don't know which one it is. Just make sure you choose your operating system from the right side of the screen. You should indicate whether it is 32 bit or 64 bit.
