You can access guide plus from front panel switches. press menu and select no. 7 or 8 guide plus setup. it asks for zip code type in using another remote using keypad.

yes. you need to reset guide plus+. with factory tv remote, press.... menu, 7, 1, go-back, tv........ then press menu, 7, 1 , go-back, who-input....... then it will ask you to set up tv with your zip-code.
Simply enter 00000 for the zip code and complete the set up process; if you're in Canada, select the USA as your country and use the zip. However, you MUST complete the set up, including allowing the TV to search for appropriate code. In the long scheme of things, location and codes don't really matter because you won't see the GUIDE again.
