My Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A turns itself off. Once the touch screen On button is pressed an audible click is heard, the front panel "Vizio" turns white, then about 2 seconds later another audible click is heard and nothing further happens, powers itself off. It sounds like some kind of self-check circuitry is turning itself off. I've pulled the back cover and no no obvious capacitors what may have blown on the power board, and have checked the surface mount fuses on the main board. I suspect either the Power or Main board, don't know how to determine which may be bad or if I'm on the wrong track. any help is appreciated!

I would check the soldering first for any cracks, and any obvious faulty capacitors or components. It looks like the power board is going into a protective mode because of a short / failed component somewhere.

It would be virtually impossible to guess exactly where with a spot check..

While the set is turned on, you need to hold the power button until the set shuts off and the led in the middle of the bottom flashes once. Then quickly release the power button and press the vol - and input buttons together along with the power button. Your TV should then turn on and should show you a blue box with the letter K. Now press the vol- and channel- buttons at the same time. You should now be in the service menu. With your remote arrow up until the top line says industry init. Arrow to the right and hit enter. Screen should turn green and say factory init success. I hope this helps you.

My vizio gv47lf turns itself off. once the on button is pressed a click is audible, the visio lights turns white, and approximately 4 seconds later another click is heard but never any picture or sound....

It can be power supply failure due to bad caps, or it detects shorted circuits in the set so it goes into shutdown mode.
Look at the power supply first for any bad caps, burnt components, etc.

this could be one of two problem one being a capacitor that has failed it the power supply

Very common or a diode has failed and for that you will need a tech the cap may be replaced by your if you can solder the cylinder shaped part will have a domed top while the good one will be flat the value of the part will be printed on the body go to your local parts store for about 50 cents you will be good to go

Have a Vizio VX37L that when it is turned the

HERE'S THE FIX: I just went through this with my Vizio VX37L. TV is stuck in RGB input. This is the fix.... TV is stuck in RGB input.
(option 1) Power on TV, and press the INPUT button repeatedly and rapidly until you can change to a different input, such as AV.
If that doesn't work, try:
(option 2) With the TV off, press and hold the INPUT button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. The TV will no longer be locked, and the INPUT button should function properly after that.

Option 2 worked for me!

Your belt is likely broken. Pop the top (held down by spring clips) to inspect. If you see it - try to lift it. If you can not lift it it is ok. If not ok, remove the front cover for complete access to the drive.
