Rca mm52110 rear projection tv with issues

Television picture expands and darkens...then snaps back into focus. Sometimes during an episode it turns itself off and then back on. At times it doesn't come back into focus at all. Turning the set off and back on sometimes causes it to refocus but not always. I have very little experience with projection tvs and have no ida what it could be........HELP

so, I sent the tv to a repair shop...they replaced a transistor and some other small stuff. $475 and two weeks later, the tv did the same thing! The repair shop has it again.

Is it a DLP set? Could be the bulb going bad, some times the arc tube in the bulb darkens with age, the arc still fires but less light comes out

How can i change the aspect ratio on RCA mm52110. the HD picture is stretched tall but very clear.

I'm going to take a stab at this out of the dark but okay!
1) is there an 'Aspect' or a 'picture size' button on your hand held remote control?
2) If you scroll through your 'On Screen Menu's' do you find a feature that will change the aspect or picture size?
Many of these TV's have this button feature on the remote control.

FL231 Fuse Post

the fl231 problem is unique to the rca itc222 chasis the model mm52100 is not this chasis. wackey? describe the picture. You may have a solder problem or a compnent overheating.

RCA MM52110 tv

I had a repairman out to look at mine today. He said it was the high voltage protecter kicking off the TV as soon as you turned it on. $400 to $600. to repair.

I love this TV but guess I'll go shopping for another plasma. I have one Plasma TV in the bedroom 50" Samsung (top of the line) it doesn't have as good of a picture as my old RCA.

RCA MM52110 FUSE REPLACEMENT

Check on the power supply box. Lower LH corner in back where the plug goes in. There is normally a small breaker switch on it.

RCA Projection TV MM52110 Won't Power Up

Being able to read a schematic and understanding how a TV works are two different things. These chassis that RCA used in these sets can be somewhat complex to troubleshoot. I would geuess that unless the power light comes on at all then you have a dead power supply in the TV.

Internal Cleaning Of MM52110

Really it all depends on how handy you are. Yes thes sets do have three lenses and a couple of mirrors that should be cleaned every year or two, and a few tweeks on the screens and focus controls. In my opinion, this should be done by someone who knows what they are doing. A TV set is not a place to be experimenting around inside of.

Could ber as easy as a bad capacitor causing the set to shut down or a regulator Ic. This is not a repair for the layman to attempt as a tv set is NOT a place to experiment with.
