First things first - need to make sure that the card is making proper electrical contact with the camera. Have a look at the contacts at the edge of the card and make sure they are spotlessly clean - even a fingerprint may cause problems.
Also, make sure the contacts in the camera have nothing causing a contact problem, and see if this resolves the issue.
Pry the metal spring clip in the base of the hotshow toward the rear of the camera with a pocketknife, itll pop out and there will be 4 small screws under there, Ill put a buck on that bet. The hotshoe needs some good anchors to support some beefy flash units so it has screws to hold it down, metal hotshoe to metal chassis.
to remove the outside case just remove the screws and pull hard, sometimes is glued, but don“t worry will not brake the case, inside u need to remove more screws pay attention for the board where the ccd is fixed.
