Hi -we have an older version of soehnle 8310.00 baby scales for veterinary use. An E shows up on the screen now whenever we turn it on and nothing we do changes this. Is this fixable? Help!

Honestly, I've never used a
soenhla 8310.00 "baby scale". Actually, according to conventiona "codes", E might mean Error so your scale is not working correctly. Might be the battery?

Dowload the catalog, it has some contact phones and URL address

Explain the different unit of temperature and give the relation between them

You have the Celsius Scale characterized by
Freezing Point of water :0 deg C
Boiling point of water : 100 deg C

The Fahrenheit Scale characterized by
Freezing Point of water :32 deg F
Boiling point of water : 212 deg F

If F is the value of a temperature on the Fahrenheit scale, the corresponding temperature on the Celsius scale is given by
C= (5/9)*(F-32)
If C is the value of a temperature on the Celsius scale, the corresponding temperature on the Fahrenheit scale is given by
F= 32 +(9/5)* C

MY OVEN IS VIKING OVEN CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE FARENHEIT FROM CELCIUS

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

Here is how you change it:

Degree Format

The oven has been preset to the Fahrenheit temperature scale.

With this feature, users can switch to the Celsius temperature

scale.

To change degree format to Celsius:

1. Press "SETTINGS." Settings menu will appear in display.

2. Press the up or down arrows until "DEGREES:

FAHRENHEIT" appears in the display.

3. Press "ENTER" to change degree format. Current value

will flash.

4. Use arrow keys to select "CELSIUS."

5. Press "ENTER" again to set degree format.
6. To exit the Settings menu, press "SETTINGS."

You will need to press the up or down button after pressing settings until you see Celsius appear then press ENTER and the Celsius flashes then use the arrow key to select Fahrenheit (still flashing) and once again press enter (saves) and it stops flashing. then press settings to exit the settings menu.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

If my grandmothers cookbook says to bake something at 175 Celcius, what is that in farenhite?

175 degrees Celsius is equal to 347 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale.

The conversion formula is
Fahrenheit temperature = (9/5 x Celsius temperature)+ 32

I just changed the battery and I keep getting the temperatures in Celsius instead of Fahren. How do I change it to F?

You need to discinnect the battery and reinstall it. When you reconnect the battery press the 'SET' button within 15 seconds. The temperature reading will now be set to Degrees F.

See below.

Setting/Changing ºC and ºF Temperature Scales
The food safety thermometer can display temperature in either the °C
(Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) scales. The desired scale is selected at the time
the battery is installed:
Selecting the °C Scale:
When the battery is connected to the battery leads the °C scale indicator
shows on the display for approximately 15 seconds. If the SET button is
not pressed the unit will time out and default to the °C or Celsius scale.
Selecting the °F Scale:
If the SET button is pressed within 15 seconds of connecting the battery to
the battery leads, the temperature scale display will toggle to the °F scale
indicator and the unit will now default to the °F or Fahrenheit scale

Trying to convert minus c to minus f in cal plus

Here are the formulas for conversion.
Let T_C be the temperature on the Celsius scale and T_F the temperature on the Fahrenheit scale.
0 _C correspond to 32 _F
100 _C correspond to 212 _F

Generally
  1. T_C =(5/9)*(T_F -32) ; for T_F=212 _F , T_C = 5/9*(180)= 100 _C
  2. T_F= (9/5)T_C + 32 ; for T_C=100_C, T_F = (9/5)*100+32 = 212_F
Problem for you : Find the temperature which has the same value on both scales.
