Scale BFM588 User manual

Although the HealthOMeter.com site no longer posts a user manual for the BFM588DQ-81 scale, they do have a different model scale, BFM955-60, instruction manual that will work for the BFM588 because all the setting buttons are identical. You can download the manual for free at their site. Go to the site, under "Service & Support" setect "Instruction Manuals", then select "Body Fat Scales". Once there, find and select the BFM955-60. It will open as .pdf document and you can save it to your computer and print it out. It worked for my BFM588 scale for which I had lost the user manual.

How are you supposed to know if two shapes are similar if there aren't on a grid.

Use a ruler to measure the lengths of the sides and a protractor to measure the angles. The scale factor is the lengths of one divided by the lengths of the other.

As your unit is no longer listed on the Sunny Health & Fitness website, there is no manual available to download there. I would suggest you give them a call SH& F Customer Service at 877-907-8669 as they do say manuals are available for all of their products.

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

These scales use sensors to measure the electrical resistance of the human body to calculate body fat. If you are not stepping on the scale barefoot then that might be the reason why it is timing out. These scales require you to step on it barefoot so it can take a measurement through your feet. And using the height and gender information in combonation with the resistance measurement it can calculate your approximate body fat precentage. If you are stepping on the scale barefoot then make sure that your feet are properly placed into the sensors and avoid any movement. Let me know if you have any questions.
