Question about Crate Cfs3

Three button crate footswitch wires need to be refastened. I need a wiring diagram.

My mate's crate uses two stereo jack leads similar to 6.35mm guitar leads but stereo. You can buy them anywhere.

I could not find a manual for the footswitch... USUALLY the details are covered in the amp manual it is connected to... and the only issue is if the particular footswitch is compatible with a particular amp.

SOURCE: On the Marshall 5 button

Only 6 wires are used by the amp. Tie the brown wire to the metal frame to act as shielding if anything. You will probably find that the brown wire either connects to the shell of the connector or to nothing.

Crate three button foot swich how do you connect it to the amp

The Fender Hot Rod Deluxe shows a 2-button footswitch as standard but I'm confused. This link shows it as connected to the amp via a mono cable ... FENDER Hot Rod Deluxe DeVille Footswitch which is impossible using two switches. Normally it's a stereo (tip, ring, sleeve) with tip to sleeve being one connection, and ring to sleeve the other. Good luck with this one.

sure, why not, the footswitch connects between the guitar and the amp, with your guitar into the footswitch, go rock that thing!

Crate flexwave 120 head effects malfunctioning

That is probably a momentary switch that is dirty and sticking. These onboard effects on guitar amps are usually nothing more than a computer sound card and I've found bad connections going to and from them as well. I do think that switch is dirty and sticking, though.

Mixing brands on footswitches, even within the same brand but different series is NEVER a good idea. While many can be converted by elecvtronics competent techs, the effort is usually not worth it for anything other than the simplest footswitch.
