Actually you do not necessary need an installation CD. Connect to the router weather wired or wireless, then open your browser to 192.168.1.1, Provide username/password (default is admin) and start configuring it from there.
Make some troubleshooting observe if the problem is on the power supply if not? Try to reset the router button make sure it's power up and reconfigure it again.
If you are looking for a unit which can do both functions (Modem and Router) your internet provider is the right source. As modem by which you get your internet connection! and Router as the name says works as gateway! Contact your internet provider if you are looking for one unit for both functions!
I think Not.
There are ADSL wireless routers however.
I guess your purpose is to make your ADSL modem available wirelessly, you can connect the
modem via lan line to the wireless and use that as a router.
I suggest you to do a hard reset on your router. Press the reset button at the back of the router for 20 seconds then unplug the power for 1 minute. Then reconfigure your PPPoE settings. On the Setup page of the router, make sure to choose the "Keep Alive" option.
First : check your cables if its plugged in securely on each each port Second: Try to change their ends Third : Try to replace your Ethernet cable.
If your router is connected to a modem try to isolate the problem by connecting your router directly to your computer and check f light would turn on. IF YES then thers something wrong with your modem, check it out.
Hope those simple steps ive provided helped you in way, If not pls let me know and lets keep the ball rolling.
