I am trying to use an ANTSIG AP593 Universal Remote Control on a Base DV-360 DVD player, I cannot find a code to use for my DVD player. Can you please tell me a different brand that will either work for my DVD player or that owns the brand BASE? Your help is very much appreciated! Rebecca

This has been answered before on FIXYA. Use the manual search code. Press "TV" (light blinks once), then press the "Up" channel button and the "up" volume button at the same time (light should come on), then hold down "Power" while aiming the remote at your TV. Hold it down until your tv powers off. Then it should be configured and working. It may take several seconds. Then check if it turns on again and if the channels are working.

Not sure if you've decided to throw your remote control away already or not. But try using the manual search code. Basically press "TV" (light blinks once), then press the "Up" channel button and the "up" volume button at the same time (light comes on permanently), then hold down "Power" whilst putting the remote RIGHT IN FRONT of the place where your tv receives signal (usually where you can see a light), and I mean right in front! Hold it down until your tv powers off. Then it should be configured and working. It took me about 1 minute or more for the TV to react and turn off. Then you can check if it turns on again and if the channels are working.

I'm not sure if any of the codes work! But if you want to try the codes again. Put your remote right in front of the point where your TV receives signal (i.e. where you see a light). I used method B - manual searching of the code. Basically press "TV" (light blinks once), then press the "Up" channel button and the "up" volume button at the same time (light comes on permanently), then hold down "Power" whilst putting the remote RIGHT IN FRONT of the place where your tv receives signal (usually where you can see a light), about 1mm away kinda thing! Hold it down until your tv powers off. Then it should be configured and working. It took me about 1 minute or more for the TV to react and turn off. Then you can check if it turns on again and if the channels are working.

I have a DVD player, I don't know the brand name. It doesn't say it on the DVD player. I think it's a dvd player dd 383. I need a code for the skandia universal remote control, please.

The closest model to what you describe is a Pioneer DV-383 or DVD-383 and the following remote codes may work for you:

BW-0392
6 in 1 Pre Programmed Remote Control DVD Pioneer codes:

0175 0185 0665

(source: http://www.antennawarehouse.com.au/remotemaster/tech%20support/Universal_Remote_Control_code_list.pdf)

To have a look at the universal code lists for other products, visit:

http://www.antennawarehouse.com.au/remotemaster/codes.php

(Skandia remote support site)

It is the closest I could get. Not sure if it will help at all. Give it a try.

I have an ANTSIG AP593 and a BUSH tv I cant get it to tune in....I have tried for two days both the manual and code methods ( a and b).

I used the B method and it worked. But the trick is to really hold the remote right in front..like 1mm away from the point where your tv gets its signal. So wherever you see a light! Took me about 1 minute or more.

I have bought an Antsig universal remote control for my Sony DVD CMT-GP8D but the 4 diget code is not in the operation book. Please help

Have you tried the manual option? Turn on your DVD player. Press "TV" or maybe a different button for DVD players, then a red light on your remote blinks once. Then hold both the "up" volume and "up" channel button down until your red light is permanently on. Then whilst holding your remote control 1mm away from your DVD player signal light (usually red too), hold down the "power" button until your dvd player switches off. Then switch it on again and try other buttons. However, I've only tried this on an LG TV, but took me 2 days until I really put the remote in front of that signal light. Took about 1 minute or more while holding down the "power" button. Hope it works =)
