HP LaserJet 1022 cold reset procedure
To cold reset the printer, perform the following steps:
Power off the printer.
Power on the printer while depressing both the Go and Cancel buttons. Keep the buttons depressed. The lights will begin to flash in sequence.
Release the buttons when all three lights begin to flash in unison.
The printer is now reset and ready for use.

The HP LaserJet 1020 printer is completely initialized at power on. Essential printer information for the printer is stored in the driver software and downloaded to the printer with the print job.
Uninstall the driver. Then go to hp.com to get the driver from the web site, its free. If you are still having problems it could be the operating system, try hooking it up to another computer system.
Hi, Problem is you have paper jam!!! Seek for the paper inside the printer, pull out cartridge!!! when you do that, turn off printer and disconnect power cable for 1min. Pull back the cable, turn printer ON!!! good luck!!!
