SOURCE: oven door won't unlock

kittyboy The first step I would recommend you to do is to turn the circuit breaker on, then set up the oven clock. Start the self clean for any amount of time, wait about 30 seconds and push the cancel button. Most of the time it helps to eliminate the problem. If it would not help, let me know and we will go further. In that case I will need the complete model number. If it is the free standing range, you can find it on the frame behind the bottom drawer. SOURCE: Interior oven light won't shut off.

Hi, i would check the pressure switch and its connection as well. either the switch is malfunctioning or the wires and connectors are corroded. simply replacing the wires or switch will fix this issue. the switch is usually located on the rim of the inside of the oven door. it will make contact with the oven door and as the oven door closes, the pressure switch is depressed inwards, thus, opening the circuit and cutting power to the light.

Please rate and god bless:)

Any idea on how to fix my double wall oven?

That doesn't sound good and is likely to be a Control Board issue. Turn it off tonight at the breaker and turn it back on in the morning. That is the closest you will get to a Reset.

The light in the oven is just a simple switch connected to the door hinge.

Frigidaire self-cleaning stove makes buzzing noise

How to Reset a Frigidaire Oven
  1. Press and hold the "Bake" button for six seconds until "0°" appears in the display.
  2. Enter the lower temperature at which you want to reset the oven.
  3. Press "Self Clean" to reset the oven's internal temperature to a cooler setting

If your Frigidaire oven has a manual lock, slide the lock-bar to lock the oven's door. If it does not have a lock-bar, the oven will lock automatically. 3 Locate the "Clean" button on the oven's control panel. 4 Press the "Clean" button to begin the cleaning cycle.

How do I unlock stuck lock?

Thank you for your post, friend!

I see that you are having some challenges with your Frigidaire range. On your control panel if you have a "Clear" or "Cancel" button you can hold that down for five to ten seconds and it should release the latch. You can also hold down the light switch button on the oven door frame and the cancel button simultaneously for five to ten seconds to see if that would correct the problem. Last, I would perform a reset on your range which can be done by disconnecting power from the range for ten minutes. I hope this has been helpful. -Matt

How does the self-clean feature work on a Frigidaire CFEF366EMB model?

Hi Beverly,

I understand that you are looking to run your self-clean feature on your Frigidaire range, model# CFEF366EMB.

-To start this you will remove all racks and make sure that any excessive spillovers are cleaned up as best as you can.
-Next you will press the "Clean" button, and the display will show "---".
-Press the up or down arrows to select the length of time you want the oven to clean. Usually 2 or 3 hours.
-The door will automatically lock once your time has been chosen and the "LOCK" indicator light will flash. DO NOT open the door while the light is flashing. (it takes about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock).
-"Cln" will appear in the display during the self-clean cycle and the "LOCK" light will continue to glow until the self-cleaning cycle is complete or cancelled and the oven has cooled.

When the self-clean cycle has completed:
-The time of day or "END" will appear in the display window and the "Clean" and "LOCK" light will continue to glow.
-Once the oven has cooled down for about 1 HOUR and the "LOCK" light has gone out, the oven door can be opened.
-If "END" is in the display and the Clean indicator light remains ON, press the "CLEAR/OFF" button and the time of day will appear on the display.
-When the oven is cool, wipe away any residue or powdered ash with a damp cloth or paper towel.

-Best Regards-

Oven lock motor frigidaire stove close and open continuously- flashing door lock light

Hi Chris -- if I am understanding you correctly, your door lock is stuck with the door open. If this is the case, locate the oven door light switch that is typically in the top left corner of the unit. Press and hold the switch button in for about 30-60 seconds. While you're doing so, look for a flashing light on the control panel next to the word, "lock". If the latch hook is in the locked position, continue holding the button and press the CLEAR/OFF key on the control panel. Hold the button in until the flashing light goes off. If this does not resolve the issue, please supply your unit's model number and any additional symptoms it was experiencing prior to this event so that I can be of more assistance to you. - Best of Luck!
