I have cracked many codes by just feel and using the lever to feel the drop! The first right turn after three complete revolutions of the dial has one long pause and the rest short! After the long pause is the first in the combination, the left one same thing after one complete revolution, then right again pulling the lever down every drop meticulously. DONE!

I concur with ohiotom but I will use this as a suggested solution in order to get this off the board.

You have to contact Sentry directly to get another combination

SOURCE: know combination, but cannot open sentry safe 1250

Make sure you are working the dial properly for this type of safe. With the door lever fully counter clockwise, turn the dial clockwise a couple turns to start. It should turn quietly. Then turn the dial counterclockwise (LEFT) to the first number in the combination. Now turn the dial clockwise (RIGHT) a full turn passing the first number again, and additionally clockwise to the second number. Then turn the dial counter clockwise from the second number directly to the third number. Try to open with a sharp movement of the door lever clockwise. If this does not work the first time try adding or subtracting ONE to each number in the combination in case the mechanism is worn. If it still does not work it is time for a drill and a power saw to cut the thing open!

SOURCE: Forgotten Default Combination

Per sentry's website (link below)
If you need your combination and did not previously register your combination on our website, you may request your combination from our Customer Care team. Please send a notarized letter stating you are the owner of the safe. (Note: the owners last name must be different from that of the notary public). For locations that require a raised notary seal, use a pencil to shade the seal to insure that it is visible when faxed. The notarized letter needs to include:

  1. Your name, address and phone number.
  2. The model number and serial number from your safe. The serial number is typically found on the front of the door, lower right corner on a small sticker; the right outside wall of your safe; or under the keypad/dial on the front of safe.
  3. Please indicate how youd like to receive your combination. Options include first class mail, e-mail or fax. Your letter must clearly indicate which method you are choosing to receive your combination, as well as the mailing address, e-mail address, or fax number to which it should be sent. Note that failure to indicate the method in which your combination should be returned to you will result in delays to the process.
  4. Payment Method for the $15 (US funds) research fee
    • By Mail: Send a check or money order (payable to Sentry Group).
    • By Fax: Please allow 48 hours for processing of your notarized statement. Please do not include your credit card information on the fax; a specialist will contact you at the phone number provided on your faxed request to take your payment. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover or American Express. If you would prefer to pay by money order, indicate that you are attaching a copy of a money order with your notarized letter. The original money order must then be mailed to Sentry Group. Please note, for all requests received after 5:00 pm EST, they will be processed the following business day.
  5. Special Circumstances
    • In the event you need to open the safe after the owner is deceased, your notarized letter will also need to include that you are now the owner or executor of the estate and need access to the safe. You must also include a copy of the death certificate.
    • If you hold Power of Attorney for the safe owner and need to access the safe, your notarized letter will also need to include that you are acting on behalf of the safe owner. You will need to include a complete copy of the Power of Attorney documentation to confirm that you have the authorization to act on their behalf in this type of circumstance.
Please note: Your combination will be sent to you within 48 business hours of receipt of both the notarized document and payment.

Locksmiths advise these Opening instructions for sentry fireproof electronic security safes. Insert the tubular sentry key into the lock to the left of the key pad. Turn the key all the way to the right until the plunger pops out. Press the five-digit factory code. The green Proceed light will come on. Pull the handle down; to crack the sentry door open.

Trying to figure out my best option to get a Sentry 6380 safe open. It does not have a serial number plate on the outside - no one has the combination.

Hello, Maria -

This article and video from Forbes magazine may prove instructive, even though I do not think the safe in the video is the same model as yours:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/marcwebertobias/2015/05/15/this-popular-fire-safe-can-be-opened-in-about-one-second/#7a7082ea726c

Note: Whenever you can get the safe open, the model number and the serial number for the safe may be printed on a label inside the safe, probably on the safe door somewhere. Write that model number and serial number down and keep it in a safe place (not inside the safe) along with the safe combination, which you will need to set.

Once the safe is open and you have the safe serial number, go to this web page:
https://www.sentrysafe.com/support/lost-key-combo
Choose the "Combo Replacement Process" link. Follow the on-screen directions.

Best wishes.

Need to open a Sentry keyless combination safe

First, has the factory combination been changed? Sentry has the code for the factory combination that they can supply you.

If the factory combination has been changed to something else, then Sentry won't have it.

In that case you need to ask Sentry for a 'reset' code combination. There is (at least) one back door to your safe -- a reset code.

The reset code will not tell you what your combination is, it will simply reset the combination to the factory combination.

You can take it from there.

Now, this isn't as hard as it may sound. There is an actual department that handles this at Sentry because you aren't the only one that cannot open his safe.

They'll want some proof of ownership, some $$ for the service, the safe serial number, and probably a notarized form claiming that the safe is yours.

Get 'hold of Sentry on the web and the rest is just process.

BTW -- this is exactly what the locksmith would do.
