I plugged my PS3 into my polaroid television via a HD cable and a three point scart lead, the PS3 came on but then promplty went off to a blue screen with the reight hand corner reading not support. Ive tried every port in the telelvsions rear to try and get the hardware working and the blue screen just maintains. How do i get it working?

I dont have a 360 so cant be 100% sure this will be helpful. i have a PS3 and to get it to run on HD after using it on SCART, you need to plug both the HDMI and SCART leads in simultaneously and go into the system visual settings and change it to a HDMI port.


after this you need to jsut unplug the SCART.


im hoping its a similar issue but just swapping the PS3 menu's with the 360 one.

yes use hdmi cable or counpounts ? tell ps 3 only 720 p on this samsung max out puyt dont use ps3 in 1080 p mode in video settinsg ok

We are having the exact same problem, our 3D tv works perfectly with the V+ box when connected via the scart but when its connnected via HDMI cable then there is no sound at all.
Did you manage to get this problem resolved and if so, how? Thanks.

You don't need a scart lead for your ps3 if you have a HD television. All ypu need is the HDMI cable (which is not included with a new PS3 but you can get very cheap from Ebay- don't bother with 'gold plated' or other 'high quality' cables as they are all the same output quality). The HDMI carries audio and video to your HD television, but you can use a scart lead for audio if and the HDMI for video if you want to use external speakers. The ps2 scart cable also works for the ps3 if you don't have a HD television. (note: a HD television is highly recommended because the quality is a hundred times better). Mine is a Samsung HD monitor which you can buy fairly cheaply.

plug in hd lead from ps3 to tv/now go to tv menu were you will see a choice of hd/scart/dv etc go to each till you find picture/or on remote av button/remember hd is not like a scart it does not switch ur tv to picture

Your display needs to be reset, Turn the ps3 off. Then turn the ps3 back on but continue to press the power button until you hear the beeps then it should work fine :)

It's a bit of a pain as you'll have to re-establish your initial internet setup ( this is where keeping old passwords, etc, comes in handy ! ), but the only solution that will work is by resetting your PS3 to ' first time use ' ( not back to factory condition though ).
This may be an unwanted slog but if you've accidently changed the settings and can't remember how or why at least you'll know the initial sttings should work.
If you don't want to do this, try going to the screen settings and adjust one at a time ( loading a game in between ), also if you have a scart lead fitted ( as well as the HDMI lead ) make sure it's in the audio out and not in ' video ' ( the audio out will be a circuit between an audio scart socket on your tv and the red and white leads going back to your audio output device : active subwoofer, etc , the yellow lead plugs into the scart lead from the console via a plug point adaptor which goes straight into the scart on the tv set ).
AV Multi Out should not have to be performed as the leads out devices are the only ones which should be pressed to set.

I have recently brought the same TV and had the same problem but I've mangaed to find a soultion.

The automatic setting for Blu Ray on PS3 is Full HD (1080p) but the Acoustic Solutions TV is HD ready (720p). For PS3 games it will automattically change settings for you to 720p. This is why this works straight away but Blu Ray doesn't.

Solution

You need to plug in your PS3 using the scart contection, then on the ps3 menu go to settings > display settings > HDMI. You will then need to attach the HDMI cable and manually set up
HDMI by checking the 720p option and deselect 1080p.

That should then play Blu Rays too. You don't lose too much quality as 720p works nearly as well as 1080p on smaller TVs.
