This happens when no signal is received by the monitor.
Most of the time this is a problem with the VGA. It could be a problem with RAM also.
If you can, remove the VGA card and RAM(s). Clean the VGA slot and RAM slots with a small brush. (You can use a blower also, but I prefer the brush).
Re-insert the VGA and RAMs.
Restart the machine and check.
If this doesn't help, you may have to replace the RAMs or VGA.
Good luck!

Have noise on left back speaker channel of onkyo 606 blocking sound from movies etc

Hi Brendan, have you swapped the speaker from the left channel to the right one so that we can be sure that it is not the speaker? You can also try a hard reset:

To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button while doing that press the "STANDBY/ON" button. You will see the word "Clear" in the display screen and the receiver will go into standby mode. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR AUDIO & VIDEO ASSIGNMENTS ON THE RECEIVER PLUS YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR SPEAKER CONFIGURATIONS, SPEAKER DISTANCE AND ALL LEVEL CALIBRATION SETTINGS. YOU WILL ALSO LOSE ANY PROGRAMMED RADIO STATIONS IN MEMORY. Once the receiver goes into standby mode turn it back on and go thru the setup menu for all custom settings.

To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button while doing that press the "STANDBY/ON" button. The TV keeps going into standby mode , comes back to proper picture and with-in 15-20 seconds goes back into standby mode. It happens continueously.

Hi,

May I know if the standby led light at the front panel is blinking, if so please count how many times it will flash to determine the error code? If not follow the steps below.

In standby mode press the button of the remote control in sequence, " Display ", " Channel 5 ", " Vol (-) ", " Power ". Self diagnosis screen will displays. Le me know the result.

Using an upgraded MC9090 gun...connexion broken in standby mode

This could be 2 thinks. First check to see if under your wireless profile that the card is set to CAM (Constantly Awake Mode). This doesn't help you battery life, but stops the radio card switch off and closing any open connections.

Next you could see what you power settings are. In control panel open up the power settings. You can change the time when the terminal goes into standby when running on battery power and also the CPU power mode.

Hope this helps.

Stuck on Standby

Do a hard reset. Unplug it from the socket, the DVD and leave disconnected for 4 hours. This may or may not help, but it is a necessary step to restore all internal software codes to their factory settings.

Hope this may help;
